MediGuard Vitamin C is a concentrad product which aids in collagen synthesis. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant that works with Vitamin E to reduce free radicals. Normally, it is produced in sufficient quantities given the presence of enzyme, L-gulonolactone oxidase. That said, horses under stress from training and competition and the older or convalescing horse may have depleted plasma levels of Vitamin C, therefore, supplementation may be required to support immune function.
Application (mixed with the daily feed):
(1 gr = >987 mg Vit. C)
(1 measuring cup = 5 gr
-Maintenance: 1 gr per day for 3-5 days
-In times of ill health or stress : 5 gr per day for 3-5 days
-Performance: 5 gr per day for 3-5 days
