Too young for the scrapheap!
Trust and life experience have made the seniors amongst our horses strong. There is very little that still has the power to unsettle them. The lessons have been learnt. Older horses are very often easier and more comfortable to ride than expected. Provided they are healthy, well-fed and fit, older horse's muscle strength and power can also be maintained and preserved even at an advanced age.
